Going ape for the Cape

So this maybe the nerd in me coming out but I've always said it was only a matter of time before capes become fashionable. Yes capes. It was a long shot guess but I'm standing by this. Capes are going to be cool. Super cool!
The cape already been on the red carpet whether its as a accessory as a built in feature of the dress.And I have a feeling it'll be a unexpected trend of 2014.

New year and New trends. And although we are in the year 2014 we are still looking to the past for inspiration. The 60s and 70s has influenced a number of recent trends . But one trend you're going to be seeing a lot of is the Sheen Trend. This faux leather craze can be seen in most stores at the moment.
There are two sides to this trend so it can appeal to most.
Its available in popping candy colours for a girly look that can be worn day or night. And in darker colours that have a biker vibe that can also be rocked day or night.
Its been a favourite for the stars for a while now mostly as part of stage costumes but more recently its been a part of their everyday wear with stars such as Kim Kardasian, Rochelle Humes, Lady Gaga and Rihanna.

So as you can see my favourite of this style is the PU/PVC leather pencil skirt. Most recently rocked by Kim Kardasian. Thankfully for us the high street and online shops have now got these skirts.
